Booking Policy

50% deposit of the total value is required for the reservation.
The remaining 50% have to be paid on the arrival day. Your reservation is only valid and guaranteed after confirmation of the deposit payment

Cancellation Policy

We know how special each and every surf trip is for our guests, so we do our best to work with everybody’s individual needs, wants and circumstances.
With that in mind, once the decision has been made to book any of our services and payment has been received, we stand firmly by our cancellation policy.

Just as important is the fact that once a service is booked, that spot becomes unavailable for someone who would have booked otherwise.

After the confirmation is made we will accept the cancellation under the following terms.
Period before arrival in which you notify us:
– If you cancel up to 30 days prior to the check-in date we will refund the total of the deposit, or give you a credit note to use 1 year after the date of the original booking arrival date.
– If you cancel up to 21 days prior to the check in date we charge 20 % of the booking deposit payment.
– If you cancel up to 14 days prior to the check in date we charge 50% of the booking deposit payment.
– If you cancel up to 7 days prior to the check in date we charge 100% of the booking deposit payment.

Any changes of your reservation after it has been confirmed are always subject to our confirmation and availability.

Please be aware that refunds will only be given with medical reasons supported by legal valid documents.

If you are concerned about a financial loss due to your late cancellation we recommend you purchase a travel insurance policy.Please consult online, with your bank or through your local travel agency for an affordable travel insurance that could cover last minute cancellations, and / or any medical injuries that could occur while in Portugal.

Check in / Check out

Check in starts at 15:00 until 20:00, 21:30 in High season.
Check out until 11:00.
Late check in can be arranged depending on staff availability and previous to arrival request.

Surf Lessons Policy

The exact timing when surf lessons take place depend on weather, wave conditions and tides, and are decided by the responsible surfing instructor and announced in advance.

Nature is out of our control and we can never guarantee ideal surfing conditions. Nevertheless we dedicate ourselves to find the most suitable location for the surf group. Should the surf lesson be canceled due to dangerous conditions for the students, Maceda surf camp will organize an alternative activity to replace surfing.

Students are required to follow the instructions of the teacher and safety rules.
If you are expected for surf classes and you do not show up, Maceda surf camp will not make any refund.

Sports Insurance

Maceda surf camp provides an included sports accident insurance that covers accidents that may happen during our surf classes and transportation on vehicles belonging to Maceda surf camp.

To be covered for any other incident we recommend to be in possession of a private travel health insurance.

Privacy Policy

We will only collect and use your personal information for the purposes of responding to your inquiries, processing your bookings, and providing you with information about our surf camp.
We will not share your personal information with any third parties without your consent.
